Boy meets girl in Vogue 2001

How fabulous is the styling in this editorial? This is a kind of androgynous chic I would be happy to adopt any time. A flirty silk dress with a structured jacket, trousers with a delicate top and, of course, a pair of heels. Chic!

  1. Because of Emmanuelle Alt of French Vogue... her unique androgynous style that she bring to French Vogue is now being copied..err.. I mean featured too in other Vogue magazines. But I like it!
BTW I am currently hosting a BLOG GIVEAWAY on my blog. Hope you could join :)

  3. @Maria Alyssa: this editorial is actually from 2001 and styled by Carine, so it's probably the other way around ;)

  4. @Lisa: Thought so too! Even the footwear is perfect. Sometimes shoes can give the year away, but this time I adore the shoes as much as the clothes. x

  11. I love the styling and I adore the outfit with the masculine trousers and simple white top, I often go for that look in summer (and I sometimes wear suspenders too and heels of course). It's so refreshing to see an editorial which is hard to be placed in a certain period of time, because the clothes are so timeless. Simplicity has this extraordinary quality. xoxo
PS: Have you by any chance tried to email me? Hope I don't have email address problems again. :)

  12. Comme les garçons... like 'tha boyz'. The French do this style so well. Lovely contrasts - but I admit loving uber girly on me, hmm... like all the time. Should maybe try twisting more boyish!

  16. @classiq: Ada, I wear the same look (men style trousers + tank or shirt), but I never thought about adding the feminine heels (my version usually comes with ballerinas). Agree that this story is simply flawless - ageless and beautiful. x
