Ok, I admit, I’ve always said that I would not be the first one to jump on the snake-skin loving wagon, but since discovering this editorial and looking at that insanely chic Yves Saint Laurent trench I’ve had an overwhelming desire to stroke it, put it on and, basically, live in it 24/7.

I also adore the simple dusty blue top combined with blue snakeskin pencil skirt, both by Calvin Klein, which I’d also be happy to wear right now, and the effect of softness and transparency of light chiffon fabric against almost graphic lines in Chanel outfit.

When it comes to fashion “never say never” rule is one of the best because you just never know…

  1. I think I'd be okay with a snake skin clutch; I have a bit of a crush on those.

PS. Just saw your beautiful guest post at Sarah's blog. The photos were gorgeous.

  2. It took me some time to learn the principle "Never say never" in fashion :)))) I said I'll never wear a leopard piece, but never! But I "bumped" into a nice leopard hat these days and I am sure I will buy it :)))The same with the snake-skin! For now, I'll just admire your beautiful post! But I'm positive I'll have a crush on snake-skin in the future...hahahahaha

  5. Ah, see? Never say never. And this applies to me too. I haven't tried anything more than a snakeskin accessory (the only one I have is a pair of beautiful flat sandals from Navyboot) and I have said that's the only way I'd wear it, but seeing that trench I feel how I'm starting to contradict myself. Have a wonderful week, my dear LittleRus! xoxo

  6. Oo you know I'm not a fan of animal prints at all, but I am totally in agreement with you about the photo of the trench, and also I love the cashmere like sweater with the python print skirt.... I might be having an about turn in attitude!

  10. I'm with LatteLisa as I'm happy to keep snakeskin (and all animal prints) to accessories like a beautiful clutch, ballet flats or a scarf...LittleRus, I read your post from Sat and I hope that the delicious choc muffins cheered you up...Have a great week!

  11. I'm loving the skirts, bags and shoes! You have to watch it because it can be overload, but if you stick with one key piece you should be ok. :D Love the colors too!

  13. The trench is stunning! I also like the two piece with the silk/chifon edging - That's an extreme contrast but it looks really good.
