Amber Valletta in Angel | Harper’s Bazaar December 1993 (photography: Peter Lindbergh, styling: Paul Cavaco)
A beautiful collaboration between Peter Lindbergh and Amber Valletta for the December 1993 issue of Harper’s Bazaar that always, always makes me think about one of my favourite movies, a song, time spent with my best friend and time spent alone listening to that song on repeat. I think what I adore about editorials from the past is that so many of them weren’t just about clothes, but looked more like stories full of emotions.

  1. You know.............your Monday post, dear Little Rus is so special good!!!
I have need this Angel today so very much:-)*

And it`s really true wat do you said about clothes and emotions(pretty good!!!)

They two are more or less always together...
There are an invisible bond between clothes and your mood, your emotions, your fantasy. And finally, your world.

Wish you a very productive week,

    Love,

  3. The editorial is beautiful! There are so many of these old editorials that stir up so many emotions inside me, you are so right in saying that they weren't just about the clothes. And it was something else too, the supermodels of the '90s knew how to wear those clothes, not the other way around. I hope you had a wonderful weekend, my dear! xo

  8. True, the older editorials were filled with passion, magic and glory. By time they have lost a lot of this special beauty and fashion and editorials became a mass article, if you have seen one, you've seen them all. No editorial has thrilled me more than the old Lindberghs, Avedons, Newtons....
And when I wanted to write you - yes, this editorial is reminding me of a film, too - it was this one here - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093191/ - DER HIMMEL ÜBER BERLIN from 1987 by Wim Wenders - I've seen you have already mentioned the remake with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage which was just more adorable, soft and beautiful. Thanks for bringing up all the beautiful editorials and for keeping them safe there in your library, my dear.
    Hugs and kisses to you!!

PS. I've reworked the blog btw - have you seen it? :-D
