Kinder Aggugini designs for the National Ballet
First it was Coco Chanel, then Versace and Lagerfeld and now we have another designer to join the creative force behind the stunning and incredibly fascinating ballet costumery.

Just like Chanel and Lagerfeld, the Italian born Brit Kinder Aggugini will be creating one-off pieces for the production of The Rite of Spring, a performance that was once a part of Diagilev’s Ballet Russes dance company and later successfully reworked by Sir Kenneth MacMillan for the English National Ballet.

“It's not just a costume, it's the resurgence of an iconic work of art.” said Aggugini in his Vogue interview.

Personally I see it not simply as the celebration of many things that are so dear to my heart, but also a very important moment in a history of ballet and fashion. If you don’t want to miss such a magnificent event that takes place between 22 and 27 March, the tickets are still available.

  1. Ballet custumery can strengthen the feeling of the entire performance, I'm looking forward to see these designs from Kinder Aggugini. If I was in London at that time I'd love to go!:)

    1. Me too. I actually secretly hope they will have videos available as soon as the seasons go live. I think it would be wonderful to see it in a theatre, but just in case it doesn't happen for me or for those who aren't in London, videos would be amazing.

  2. The ballet world has always fascinated me. I took ballet lessons when I was a child, but then gave up, but it's always remained close to my heart. I used to think the artistic world was not for me. Life is funny. Now I'm more and more drawn to the artistic fields. Who has the opportunity to go see the performance should not miss it. Are you going? xo
