Transition pieces. They are like best friends and comforts blankets all-in-ones. Reliable wardrobe companions that take you from one season to another in style and comfort.

Take the white cable-knit sweater. It’s not just a classic piece -  this life-saver goes with practically anything. You can wear it with jeans and Converses, then swap the trainers for kitten heels and jeans – for cigarette trousers for a smarter look.

Or wear your softy with a skirt creating at least three different outfits – wave “Good bye” to summer by pairing the sweater with a long silk floaty skirt or palazzo trousers, combine with a pencil skirt and classic pumps for work, leather or full skirt and booties for a coffee date. Once those options are tried and tested, practice the all-white trend that will be one of the hits in Autumn/Winter 2012/13 or cocoon in wide wool trousers, oversized coat and an optional chunky scarf.

  3. Thank you for the inspiration Natalia, I think I'm going to put a white cable sweater on my short lists of fall purchases. I agree, the all white look is going to be a beautiful trend this year.

  4. I have a black cable-knit sweater of fine wool that I've been wearing for years and it really is an outfit-saver and makes for a great transition piece. I'm looking for a white one now. :)
