Paris, Je t'aime

"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a movable feast.”

Paris fashion week is a tempting, beautiful and simply irresistible feast for the eyes and mind. It is the final accord in a symphony of fashion worth waiting for and tuning to because this is where the culmination happens, all the notes sound in perfect harmony and all the missing pieces find their place in our hearts and, for the lucky ones, wardrobes.

Paris, I love you so very much.

  1. My heart began beating faster when I saw your post. Not just because I love Paris and everything related to it, but because last night, after browsing through the book "Fashioning the City, Paris, Fashion and the Media" I came across the chapter 'The Eiffel Tower in Fashion' and you know what immediately popped into my mind, a post inspired by it. I really can not believe this amazing coincidence (how many so far?!), because it's not about a recent editorial or fashion show or something like that, but an entirely different theme. Hope you're enjoying your weekend, my dear! xoxo

  8. I want to go to Paris so bad! I was there once, but only for one day. Trying to see Paris in one day is impossible. I MUST go back! Love this post!

  9. @classiq: Ada, it really is yet another coincidenc! Are you sure we weren't split at birth? ;) I find these images magical and the tower has a lot to do with it, of course. I'll never forget when I saw it for the very first time while walking through Jardin des Tuileries, just a glimpse, far away on horisont... but it was so exciting, so special. And God knows, I love Paris with all my heart.

  11. @Rachel: you certainly will. Paris is a women's city, it makes you feel beautiful and you fall in love with its own beauty before you realise. :)

  12. @SassyUptownChic: Yes, the temptation would be very strong. I certainly felt very sad every time it was time to leave. But on the other hand, it's so wonderful to come back. Shame, I can't do it right now. Hope you get to visit it soon. x

  14. I spent a wonderful weekend in Paris some years ago. That weekend I bought a miniature Eiffel Tower to take home with England with me, and I always have it in a place where I can see it, ever since. It is true, Paris stays with you.
