No make-up make-up inspiration

20/11/2012

alentino Spring/Summer 2013
Taking inspiration from the Valentino Spring/Summer 2013 collection that gave us dreamy dresses and a very natural, simple and clean make-up look that makes you look like the real you, only more groomed.

According to Pat McGrath, a cream blush is used to create softly flushed cheeks (think RMS beauty Lip2Cheek as the most brilliant and natural multitasking little hero), followed by brown shadow on the lids and under the lower lash line and finished with a few layers of brown mascara and powder.

Yes, powder is definitely back to give us the fresh and matte rather then dewy finish. If you are dreading a thought of a cakey face, think translucent invisible powders: HD Perfecting Powder by Chantecaille, Hyaluronic Hydra Powder by Terry, Un-powder powder by RMS Beauty, Zodiac powder by Estee Lauder (which also makes a wonderful and very thoughtful gift!), Sensai loose powder by Kanebo. For those looking for pigmented products, Tom Ford finishing powder or Luminous silk powder by Giorgio Armani will work beautifully.

  3. Its ironic that to achieve the perfect {flawless} no make up look actually uses quite a fair bit of make up to be used! Loved this post Natalia xx

I'm a very big fan of a natural make-up. I think it's very sexy! and your tips are definitely handy. I like the note about the brown eye-shadows, I should try it.

    Thanks for the tips;)

  24. You know, I'm suddenly finding myself obsessed with different make-up looks and techniques. I've always loved the natural look, but lately I'm loving bold lips. I feel like that calls for very subtle everything else but then sometimes I end up with tired looking eyes. So, I'm in research mode...on a quest for some new perfect looks for me.
Great post as always!!! and thanks for all your kind words on my blog. I love reading your comments. You are becomming one of my blogger besties;-)

    1. I've got the bold lips coming, Gina! :) You just have to wait and see. :) I switch between the no make-up look and bold lips depending on my mood. I love both of them plus as a woman you want to be different from time to time, don't you?
Thank you so much for your sweet words about the comments! I am looking forward to yours, too.

  30. I'm rather lackadaisical about makeup, usually I just wear some mascara, foundation and lipbalm.(which is the most wonderful thing ever!) I always like seeing makeup-less inspired look like this, so natural looking and while makeup can be so fun and artful, it's always nice to really see someone's natural beauty.

  31. Dear Natalia, thank you for sharing this tips! I love make-up in general and I find it that the less you see it, the better! Having said that, how know how difficult it is to create a 'bare-face' look and I don't think I have the patience to apply too many products...a pity!
