Miami Revue | Vogue Germany 2009

What are the first things you think of when you hear Miami? Mine are Gianni Versace, palm trees, Dexter and this gorgeous editorial from the March issue of German Vogue from 2009. The retro vibe in sepia hues, genius Marlene Dietrich meets Great Gatsby styling and the cloudy feeling of heat make this story one of my most favourite ever.

And talking of the impeccable looks – wouldn’t be perfect to have this entire wardrobe for summer?

  1. This is great! I love Miami. I always think of Ocean Drive, palm trees and the beach. I stayed in an area called Coconut Grove for vacation one time and the lush trees and shrubbery in this shoot remind me of that. Love the styles.

  27. What a DIVINE editorial! I absolutely love Miamiiiii, we spent a couple of fabulous weekends there when we were in Cayman. I didn't see anything that looks like this shoot sadly, although I'm convinced there must still be a little corner of the city that's stuck in the 1920's/30's with graceful beauties like these strolling around. Maybe?!

  29. Ah what do I think when I think about Miami - a lot actually. I lived on South Beach for a while a few years back and was even shooting outside the house that Gianni Versace bought the day he came to view it :-) This story is beautiful and yes there are a lot of pieces that would be lovely to wear this summer. Xxxx
