Making Chanel couture

Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2013
Last night, just before I fell asleep, I watched Chanel Couture and then dreamed beautiful dreams. Oh, those dresses… These are the ones I would collect if I was among those 5 per cent of the world population.

Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2013
You see, I believe that in the last hundred or so years there have been very few art forms worth falling in love with. Couture is definitely one of them – it moves me beyond tears, especially when seeing it in the making.

Call me naive, but don’t you think every dress should come with a list containing the names of all petite mains involved in the production? Sort of like movie credits…

  7. I agree on the beautiful art form of couture, these looks must have a taken a good few painstaking months/weeks to construct, the detailing is incredible.

  8. Wow, it is definitely a process. Not enough credit is given to the seamstresses. We often forget about them. It's so awesome they're making videos of their works and processes they use. It's extraordinary.

  9. Wow!!!! The dress is just.... wow!

My sister is currently a couture designer in the making. I can't wait till she finishes school so she can make me whatever my heart desires, lol.
