Isn't it odd how Fall/Winter 2013-14 collections seem like a thing of the past even though they are still a part of the present? The confusing reality of fast fashion left me puzzled when choosing the perfect time to share a little inspiration from Hermes. I waited, and then waited a little longer, in the rain and sunshine watching the seasons change and the time go by...
Then it happened... The perfect moment. The women on a rendezvous. Women looking for love. That was the theme of this Hitchcock-inspired collection with a very Parisian flair. Perhaps, the end of that story wasn't as romantic as planned, but at least there was love, even for a little while... A wonderful subject to think of on the eve of Valentine's day.
And every time I look at these photos I think of love, and dreams, and hopes... I soak up the atmosphere of beauty, the soft light, the surroundings, the looks - each is a beautiful example of how one can create an elegant and modern ensemble with just a few basic shapes, skilfully chosen colours and clothes.
Not many of us can wear Hermes, but it doesn't mean that we can stop ourselves from falling in love with it and use these looks as an inspiration for creating a fashion love story of our own.
