I saw it back in November, but resisted sharing for everyone was too excited about the holidays and chunky jumpers and my perfect suit would not get the attention it really deserved.
Isn't it beautiful?
The versatility part becomes obvious when you think of all the outfits you could create with these two pieces. I won't be telling you how to wear a white jacket, well, not just yet, but the trousers can be worn on their own as a transitional winter to spring piece, with a chunky sweater, then - light cashmere or silk jumper that you can swap for a mariner top, t-shirt or a tank as the weather gets warmer (and the skin develops a bit of a natural tan).
You can also change the look by using different kind of jewellery - wooden or tan leather cuffs, handfuls of pearl necklaces or something dainty and delicate instead.
As for the footwear… Go with what you love the most - brogues, ballerinas, sandals, Converse or even Nikes or, if you love your heels, chunky sandals (you know a bit of cord or raffia here and there isn't going to hurt), classic pumps or espadrilles.
Oh, yes, before I forget… The sunglasses. And a hat. Something small, made of straw, for the day and big and fabulous for the night. Just to make it even more unforgettable. If you are not a big fan of hats, a silk scarf can make a fashionable and very chic statement, too.
