Outfit inspiration: another way to wear trench

Outfit inspiration from L'Officiel Paris March 2014 - another stylish way to wear trench
This is the way I could wear the much hyped about sporty look without giving up my fashion believes (which do not, absolutely do not include trainers and ugly flip-flop style sandals).

The L'Officiel look is, of course, a very high-end designer version spotting Michael Kors coat, Veronique Leroy dress, Super Chez Marc Le Bihan sunglasses, Charlotte Olympia bag and Louis Vuitton sandals and jewellery, so I simply had to whip up something equally beautiful, but for less.

I went for a different cut with the dress - I loved the the ease of t-shirt and also thought that the v-neck would actually suit the look better.

The bracelet is leather rather than enamelled metal - both options are wonderful, but the leather is something  I would be more likely to wear myself (and now want for my birthday... Oh, the danger of outfit posts!). I adore this simple wrap-around style and how it can be personalised by adding charms or precious stones. Certainly an indulgent wish, but this is a kind of jewellery that I would want to keep and wear forever, not just a bijoux one-season stand.

If you'd still rather go for a bangle, best ones are the stacks from River Island and ASOS or Mango, Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Sakroots or Love Moschino bangles. In addition I also really liked the beautiful transparency of a Cara Couture cuff and gorgeous leather bracelets from Coach.

  1. A trench is such a classic timeless piece - I picked up a new one from Primark this year and I've already worn it so much :o). Xx

  2. Perfect outfit!!! I loooove the material of the trench in the editorial shot (sorry don't know the word in english), so chique! And I really hope you get a very pretty leather bracelet for your birthday :) Happy Sunday dear! xx

  3. This is really a great idea to wear a trench! I have to admit that I don't like me with trenchs of this cause I gave recently all of my trenches away - but this look is so inspiring that I now honestly thinking about to buy another trench ... and a white dress!

    Happy Sunday for you!

    xx from Bavaria/Germany, Rena

  4. This is the perfect trench season! I like the pretty sunnies and the pastel earrings.

  5. Очень здорово, всегда хотела длинный тренч или пальто, но мне рост не позволяет. Образ мне очень нравиться, просто, лаконично и невероятно стильно.

  6. Love the look! Great inspiration!

  7. i always find it hard for tiny people like me to fit trench though, its like it only fits on super tall models :(

  8. I love the outfit you put together! I would definitely wear that.

  9. I am so with you, Natalia - my fashion beliefs do not include trainers or flip flop style sandals! But that doesn't mean casual dressing is completely out, it just has to be done well. And in this look, it's done beautifully. That trench is to die for and I love the leather charm bracelet.

  10. A great trench is one of the most basic and classic additions you can make to your wardrobe and is always an absolute must!

  11. that trench is absolutely gorgeous! i would want it in my closet! LOL love the sandals and i'm loving leather bracelets too Natalia. they're so sophisticate and (more comfortable).

  12. I love trenches and I'm always happy to find a new way to wear mine! I really like this look, though I might wear heels or wedges instead of flats. Love that dress!
