"With the internet, everybody's got an opinion and everybody's free to say whatever they want. I'm sorry - no. Some people have knowledge of what they're talking about, but when people  just put their comments out there, I find it difficult. What do you hope to express by saying "I didn't like this show"? It's not that easy to judge things."

  2. I love him even more for this quote. Just because your mouth talks, it doesn't mean you have something to say.

  8. Yes, it's true, the Internet made it possible not only freedom of expression but also an opportunity not to be responsible for what was said.

  11. Haha, I love this quote because it definitely separates the amateurs from the professionals. I studied fashion marketing and I still don't claim to know much about the topic because there is still so much to learn. Thank you greatly for your last comment.

  12. so true! I firmly believe that one should pause and be sure they understand before speaking. Also, I think silence is so much better than negative ranting!

  13. I actually find this quote quite difficult. The close-minded point of view irks me. Everyone starts somewhere, whether they started before the internet age or after. Simply because Haider Ackermann now has the knowledge to speak about fashion does not mean he always did - he simply didn't have a place to document his thoughts when he was younger and they were more unformed. I could write a dissertation on this topic, but suffice it to say that this week, I disagree :)

  15. I like the layering in the outfit above. Yes, the internet, (especially with social media) makes it easy for anyone to just give their two-cents even when it is generalised or unwarranted.

  17. Some people know what they are talking about and others, even if they don't have the same knowledge, are however able to judge, whether they like something or not. At the end of the day it's the masses, the buyers that will determine the success of a product, not necessarily the experts.

  20. Oh my gosh, this is all soooo true. Half of the things I read on the internet, I think to myself, "SERIOUSLY?!?!" I especially feel this way in regards to people who leave really negative comments on things. Sometimes I think people just like to whine and make others feel bad. I agree with this quote whole heartedly!

  23. awesome quote! I totally agree opinion means opinion and you are supposed to have point of view and arguments. In fashion it sometimes goes with the emotions (e.i. 'I can't actually explain why it is so but I didn't like the show, it made me feel uncomfortable and I wouldn't style any of those items'). thanks for sharing
