At the end though, it was my love for fashion that saved me from insanity. I've leant to accept mishaps and minute imperfections without giving up hope or loving something or somebody less, and instead document the process of never-ending fashion evolution that, without a doubt, is absolutely fascinating.
It's been three years since John Galliano left Dior and so far my emotional relationship with the brand has been a real roller coaster. It wasn't an easy ride, but I took it and am very glad I did. With the Pre-Fall 2014 came the light of hope and the most recent Resort 2015 presented by Raf Simons on 7 May at the Brooklyn Navy Yard's Duggal Greenhouse turned that light into a dreamy fantasy filled with air, romance and beauty.
I liked most of the 66 looks, the number that apparently coincided with the Dior USA anniversary.
I loved the idea of a scarf as the starting point for these designs - after all, it is one of my favourite accessories, so I welcome any reincarnation of the precious le carré. The way the archive-inspired printed silks softened the architectural and modern shapes was truly wonderful... Almost ethereal if you mute the sound.
And lets not forget the fringed melange coat, sleeveless jacket, dresses made of lace and haze-like organza, and gorgeous shoes that completed this truly beautiful, youthful and wearable collection, my favourite Simons pour Dior so far.
