How do you tie your scarf? A few style lessons from Hermes

I may not own any Hermes scarves (yet), but it doesn't stop me from using my own silk squares to recreate some of the ideas that the brand generously produces every season in a form of stylish cards. This time le carre and twilly really come out to play transforming themselves from an accessory to the wardrobe showstoppers, from a stunning maxi dress to the most elegant tops, that, luckily for us, seem to be quite easy to DIY.

Imagine wearing one of these in the heat of summer, mixing the vibrant colours of the scarf with white, tan or blue pieces?! Or wearing them in autumn with a jacket, blazer or cashmere sweater... The possibilities are truly endless and so is the inspiration.

Anything in particular that caught your eye?

  1. I actually already employ both the sarong and the skirt folds... there are several other clever versions here as well! One day I will be employing these techniques with a Hermes scarf :)

  9. We once had one donated to oxfam! Must have been a very generous customer, we wished we could have bought it but at least the profits went to a good cause

  15. I'm still waiting for my Hermes scarf, too, but I do love to test out the Hermes tying techniques on my other silk carres - although I doubt I have any that are large enough to be worn as a dress, or even a skirt, I do love that idea!

  20. Natalia, these are awesome! I only knew how to do a skirt and side neck tie. I LOVE how she used a scarf for a top. That is absolutely beautiful.

  22. Hi Natalia! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! Thanks so much for posting about tying a scarf. I, too, do not own any Hermes scarf yet but this tutorial will be very useful when I get my first silk scarf (possibly Hermes?)!
