Oh, Linda, the beautiful chameleon, she has always been one of my favourite models. First time I noticed her, Evangelista was on a tiny photo printed in Burda Moden, fixing her make-up before a fashion show. With her signature platinum curls, sparkling eyes lined with black kohl and pouty lips barely touched by lipstick, she looked unmistakably Italian - a vision of glamour that certainly made an impact on my teenage self.
This editorial reminded me of how far my affair with fashion really began... It made me think of that insignificant event, glossy pages of the very first "foreign magazine" that successfully made it across the Soviet border and the memories and inspirations it brought into my life.
