Altuzarra Resort 2015
How much I love Altuzarra... The words would not describe. Although the name is pretty new to the blog, it has been embedded in my mind in a manner of the gorgeous embroideries from the last year's Resort and woven into dreams with the metallic threads of the Spring/Summer 2014... One of those dreams I am almost afraid of dreaming for at some point it could break my heart. And yet I absolutely cannot resist the beauty and elegance of the clothes, the lines, the colours, the fit. There is a lot of Carine in these collections - it is easy to see how those shirts, pencil skirts and little black dresses were imaginary moulded on her by Altuzarra who admitted his affection for Roitfeld a few years ago (and there is a sweet moment about it in the Mademoiselle C). These clothes are real and incredibly wearable, but just a touch more classy - a kind that makes you feel incredible, but, unfortunately, adds a few extra zeros to the price tag.

To continue the subject of finance, after selling some of the stake to Kering last year, the 30-year-old New Yorker who recently received an CFDA's Womenswear designer of the year award was not only able to continue growing his brand, but move into accessories with the newly added collection of gorgeous shoes - so if it's not for those tailored pieces, timeless classics and impeccable hems, we will, at least, have a chance to invest in a pair of those gorgeous sandals. It's time to start saving up, I think.

  4. I think I might like Altuzarra back in the 2009-2010 season more than they are now.

  5. A bit of a cliché but these are effortlessly chic. I'm always drawn to neutrals and I love the clean lines, cut and fit. I would be more than happy to wear the first outfit in particular.

  8. When it comes to clean cut black and white pieces, I have a hard time not falling in love... especially when statement shoes are involved. And the shoes in these photos! I'm officially dreaming.
