Bag of the month: September is for Mary Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou MVK leather bag
Mary Katrantzou doesn't make "It" pieces or sends out trends - what she does offer is fashion, the timeless kind of it, something made to become a collectable classic. And thank God (and Mary) for the line of quietly luxurious bags introduced as a part of Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.

When Katrantzou moved away from her signature trompe l'oeil prints, the original core of the designer's Universe, she turned her attention to the objects that inspired those images including vintage cameras... And before we knew it, one of the camera cases was transformed into the MVK, a boxy shoulder bag in glossy burgundy and navy leather named after Katrantzou's parents initials.

Versatile, roomy, unfussy and discreetly chic, this gorgeous creature is definitely something to have and to hold... Become a part of the story, but this time - created by you.

  1. Hi hun, hope you have been well. Its been so hectic with work and studies recently so I had to take a break from blogging. I will try to get back to it when I have some free time. Missed reading your posts…Have a great week. You can find me at

  2. What I love about this bag is how it is simple and timeless, but not simply another black bag. The different colours and attention to detail makes it all the more wonderful. (This coming from me, the girl who loves all black!)

  3. Lovely bag ^^

  4. Great it...

  5. absolutely timeless and classic. just love this.

  6. This bag is exquisite! A natural progression for her brand, certainly... I wouldn't expect anything less than stunning.

    xx Hélène
