Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2005 collection is, by far, one of my favourite. Frankly, I could say it is my favourite Vuitton+Jacobs offering. It speaks to me on many levels. I love the shapes of the coats and the figure fitted midi skirt looks - there's something ultimately Dior in those, so much so that it made me wonder, once or twice, what it would be like if Jacobs did accept the job of the brand's creative. I adore the perfect shade of red lipstick. It is so very Parisian - sensual, timelessly elegant, but bouncy youthful.
And, of course, lets not forget the details - the necklace above, the precious sparkling hair clips, a layer of organza creating an effect of a winter fog over that gorgeous jacket, the skilful use of leather and mink for the patterned mosaic and, of course, the delicate lily-like tassels that add a gorgeous final accent to the gloves.
At this point may I remind you that these incredibly luxurious clothes were designed ten years ago! Hard to believe, isn't it?
