Dear Santa

Although I have long celebrated my fifth birthday, a part of me still believes that, if I put my wishes on a piece of paper (or the blog) some may, indeed, come true no matter how arrogant and utopian they sound. Of course, I wouldn't expect everything to happen in 2015 - in fact it would be rather odd, suspicious and will, most likely, require a session with a psychologist to calm me down.

Bearing this in mind, please pick and mix at your convenience and when and if appropriate...

I would really-really like to...

Acquire all the Balenciaga books from my wish list (in a dream world have a library as big as Lagerfelds).
Get to London fashion week.
See Erdem, Mary Katrantzou, Temperley, Christopher Kane, J.W. Anderson, Roksanda & Preen shows in person (in a dream world - see Prada, Bottega Veneta, Missoni, Alberta Ferretti and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan and Lanvin, Sonia Rykiel, Nina Ricci, Christophe Lemaire, Hermes, Chanel, Valentino and Chloe in Paris).
Meet John Galliano.
See Margiela Couture show in London.
Have a photo of self by Peter Lindbergh.
Meet Azzedine Alaia. Wear an Alaia dress. Peruse Alaia's fashion archives.
Meet Colin McDowell, Justine Picardie & Alexander Fury - not to die on the spot, but have a grown-up conversation.
Interview fashion models from my secret wish list.
Find certain pieces from Bottega Veneta S/S 2007, Prada S/S & F/W 2004 and S/S 2009, Chloe S/S 2006, Lanvin S/S 2003 and the most gorgeous boots and cardigan from Dior F/W 2009 collections.
Add Bionda Castana, Liam Fahy, Gianvito Rossi and Malone Souliers to my shoe collection.
Spend two days in Paris...

***

Should all fails, just send me a pair of beautiful shoes, some lovely lingerie and a couple of fashion tomes - I am sure you know my guilty pleasures well by now.

Thank you for taking your time to read this letter, Mr Claus. Please remember to stop by for the home-made ginger biscuits and a glass of organic milk when it suits your busy schedule.

Merry Christmas!

  2. Natalia, I couldn't stop laughing! This is so funny! I would have a similar letter. You are THE FASHIONISTA. Wishing you and your family (including your puppy) a very Merry Christmas. Downton Abbey is about to start and every time I look at what you bought me last year I think about you. I cherish it.
