J.W. Anderson Pre-Fall 2015

Jonathan Anderson explained his Pre-Fall 2015 collection as "when something makes me uncomfortable, I resist the temptation to make it look good". It was very Miuccia and her attitude towards design process - to mix the loves and hates. Not that I'd want to compare Anderson to Prada.  I love them individually and forever. All I am aiming for is to show that the principle of adding "a dash of paprika" definitely works for those who aren't afraid to experiment and remaining true to themselves.

This Pre-Fall is not only about the style and cut - it triggers the sensory response. Whether you fall in love with the looks on the spot or take a little time to absorb it all it, you know you feel something and that's what fashion is all about for me.

Anderson's collection made me feel happy. It put a smile on my face. Frankly, I didn't think of any form of mismatched dissonance at all. Instead I experienced a little nostalgia for Courreges and lots and lots of positive energy vibes. For me, it felt as if each look was built around a garment so strong in its appearance that the rest of the ensemble simply highlighted it's perfection.

A sort of clothes you'd want to wear. Not only because they are made to be worn, but also as a lucky charm to experience a moment of beautiful and terribly chic self.

Oh, yes, lets also talk about the girl... Her name is Damaris and she is one of the industry's best kept secrets and somebody I adore dearly. Damaris is exciting, sparkling, vivacious, as if powered by a thousand of fireworks, has a grace of a ballerina and is sweet and gentle as a little kitten. A very special new face represented by Viva London, she was so perfect for this Pre-Fall - I only wish they made a little behind-the-scenes film to accompany the stationary images.

  3. What an interesting approach to the design process. I admit, it is not the one I would take but then again - design is to be left to the professionals. Although this collection isn't really me, I can appreciate the intricacy of the work and the time that was spent ensuring every detail was just so. Some of these pieces are like works of art! And Damaris is just stunning - I hope we'll see more of her.

  7. Very distinctive designs. I would choose to wear the outfit with the polka dot blouse (according to my mood today).
