The last three years without John Galliano have been an emotional roller coaster for me. It felt strange and wrong not seeing him design. Yes, there was the work with L'Etoile, but despite the joy of Galliano's return, it was the fashion fantasy that I missed greatly.
In the industry over-stuffed with copyist and mediocre PR-powered mass, John Galliano has always been one of a handful of designers who created fashion not because they wanted to be famous or rich, but because they lived and breathed fashion...
His return means different things to different people. To me it is all about hope... Not only for the fashion industry, but for us. Because at the end it is not Galliano who's been giving a second chance, but us being lucky enough to have him back and see a new and exciting chapter of fashion history.
The day has finally arrived. The new era begins on #MargielaMonday. At 4:30PM in London, near Victoria station.
