Changes at Reed Krakoff

Reed Krakoff has stepped down as the company's CEO leaving his position at the namesake brand to Harlan Bratcher, the former president and CEO of Armani Exchange. The decision was made in order to give the designer more time to focus on the creative process and the accessories in particular.

Krakoff is planning to introduce a line of lower-priced styles to appeal to a wider market drawing from over twenty years of experience working for iconic American houses including Ralph Lauren and Coach as well as his own New York-based label that he turned into a global fashion brand.

For us it means that he won't be presenting a Fall/Winter 2015 ready-to-wear at New York fashion week, but there will finally be a collection of beautiful handbags and shoes that have the quality and the contemporary elegance Reed Krakoff has been renowned for, but are more affordable.

  2. What an interesting choice. Personally, I think it will be a good one - and I'm very interested to see what the lower priced line will bring!
