Embellished purity of Dries van Noten

Dries van Noten Fall/Winter 2015
Embellished purity would be my way to describe Dries van Noten Fall 2015 collection, the epitome of beauty so dazzling that it felt hypnotic. For me, it was a form of wearable art, a dream and tale of two worlds, the modern Europe and ancient China, and a wizardry of Egypt reflected in myriads of scarab wing inspired adornments.

You don't need the words to appreciate van Noten's work - you need to touch it, see it, wear it, or, at least dive into the imagery and set your mind free.

  13. I have always thought that wearable art would be a good way to describe Dries Van Noten's work. I loved this collection, particularly the colours - such rich and beautiful jewel tones. And, of course, the sequins :)
