Suede is one of the Spring/Summer 2015 trends I am grateful for and could send every designer a warm hug for bringing it back. It is true that there was never a short supply of suede for us to wear, but most of it came in a form of accessories, not clothes, so finding an ultimate suede dress or trench remained somewhat of an ultimate dream of mine.
In my case, it has very little to do with the 70s hype - I simply adore the texture and feel of it, that velvety surface. It is so much more sensual than leather and a lot more wearable and stylish, too. While wearing a pair of leather trousers or a leather coat can be a challenge or look very Soviet (honestly, it does remind me of the 1917 revolution and KGB, maybe it's a gene expression), suede will add a very stylish touch to any outfit.
Yes, it can be high maintenance and pricey, but it lasts for years and looks so luxurious. Besides, it's so wonderful to forget about hard-core sensibility and simply have fun with fashion.
If you love suede as much as I do, find your ultimate match while it's in season.
