I have been meaning to talk about Winser London for ages, because this British brand founded by Kim Winser in 2013 is one of those rare fashion gems that I don't just love, but will love forever. It's a golden ticket to elegance, if you like. The styles are ageless and timeless. Everything fits well, the fabrics are soft and luxurious and the garments compliment one another in a beautiful synergy allowing me to relax and for once, stop thinking of the fast fashion craze that I loathe.
Miuccia Prada once said that very few women really need runway collections to express who they are because most will find everything they need on the market. My problem has always been knowing exactly what I want, but dealing with either poor quality and overdose of polyester or high end price tags.
Then I came across Winser London and was surprised to see that exact trench coat I've always imagined, and the silk blouse of the right transparency and fluidity, the cashmere sweaters, the perfectly fitted trousers - all available in my favourite charcoal grey, tan, navy and white and, what was also very important, the prices were fair (and sometimes lower that I expected).
And yes, I am guilty of not showing you that pair of white skinnies I got last year and my warm as a cuddle cable knit sweater I lived in came winter... There have been so many things happening in life lately that parading in front of the camera in a manner of a trained monkey wasn't among my high priorities exactly. Still, I will share everything eventually.
Right now, it's about the latest additions I've got my eye on. The trench in a beautiful shade of cappuccino, perfect length and slim fit has my name written all over it. The Parisian dress is self-explanatory - it makes me think of Chanel and... how much I want it. Then there's this sweet little white shift that has an ease of a t-shirt and versatility of a timeless classic - I can see myself wearing it on a hot summer day with a pair of tan ankle strap or gladiator sandals on a day off, platforms - to channel the 1960s, pumps - for a meeting, and then sparkly high heels to go out at night. And, of course, this pencil skirt and sweater look - worn together or separately these beautiful things just work on so many levels.
Now I got it out of my chest, I need to get them all into my wardrobe.
