La vie en rose for Lily-Rose

It really doesn't take a pair of rose-tinted spectacles for Lily-Rose Depp to see the life before her turning
the loveliest colour of pink. She is a daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp, so her childhood has probably been rather special in many respects including an overdose of Chanel since Vanessa was a face of the brands accessories and make-up for years.

Blame it on such fabulous parents, inviable style, rock chic attitude, teen spirits, beautiful looks or pure luck, but the 16-year old is firmly following her mother's foot steps by first appearing at Chanel shows and now posing as the face of eyewear in the latest campaign shot by Lagerfeld.

The choice seemed to have caused a controversy with some criticising the choice of the girl and psychologists saying that she would not be able to cope with the pressure at her age... Would you agree? Personally, all I can see (and I have a feeling most teenage girls would agree) is a well-paid opportunity to dress up, look lovely and work with one of the world's most iconic brands - compared to the pressure of being a daughter of two A-listers this venture seems like a walk in a park...

And honestly, I do love the images, the hair, the clothes, the make-up - everything...

  1. So happy for her! Everyone handles fame, fortune and success differently. It really depends on how she is as a person. With anyone, only time will tell. I hope she has fun with it.

  3. Of course I think any sixteen-year-old girl would be thrilled to have this type of opportunity, but at the same time I am always a bit disheartened to see children of celebrities step so quickly into the roles their parents have already taken rather than forging their own identity and path.
