On Mango, 70s and sunsets

Whenever I think of the 1970s I picture a rose-tinted reality as if the entire era happened at sunset... It sounds strange because the sun was shining just as bright as it does now, the sky would turn azure every morning and people would get on with their lives coloured in every shade of rainbow - not subjected to Nashville Instagram filter...  Admittedly, I wasn't a part of it - just touch-based before heading into the 1980s, so my 70s impressions come from the films and photos - soft, delicately grainy, nostalgic and inviting... Just like the latest Mango campaign - loved it very much!

  3. My imagining of the 70s is very similar to yours; it's the decade when my parents got married and all of their wedding photos have that kind of warm tint like the Nashville filter; my mum's hair was quite similar to the model in this campaign at that time, too! I don't think we can help it - when we look back on decade we didn't truly experience, we only see the best parts, and this Mango campaign really does capture the essence of them. It's gorgeous!

  8. If you hadn't told me this was Mango's Premium Fall 2015 campaign, I absolutely would have guessed it was from this much earlier time - they've captured these moments perfectly! Wow! :)

  12. Those photos are dead on. Love the nostalgic feel and soft focus, as if remembering. I was there, and this took me back! For instance, prom was in 1976, my prom dress was floral and maxi, i had bangs...
