It seems that Mondays are the best days for sharing something personal... Like my love for the gorgeous Amanda Wakeley kimono sweater from her Autumn/Winter collection. It feels so perfect, so soothing... And boy, I do need a bit of that in my life right now. Somehow cashmere, just like Paris, is always a good idea, a non-toxic medicine for the body and soul.
Frankly, everything Wakeley designed for the upcoming season goes beyond luxury... When I spotted the photos in Vogue I thought how much they felt like a shelter, a caring guard, a reliable partner... in good times and in bad... in sickness and in health... I've been dreaming of that sweater and thinking of the details of the coat since then...
And talking of bad times. I left a little message on Instargram about Oscar last week - we've been given all clear, so my boy is not going anywhere yet. He is still pretty weak, still on several doses of meds and gets tired easily... My heart crumbles every time, but I keep telling myself that we are slowly moving in the right direction. And finally I (almost) stopped crying.
I wanted to thank everyone of you who left me messages and emails last week - I am not the strongest person when I can't help somebody I love, so the messages really kept me going, like little injections of warmth and hope. Thank you!!!
And in a midst of all the madness and uncertainties, the positives also came in a form of Bon Jovi's Burning Bridges, emails from people who always put a smile on my face, getting down to earth in our little garden, latest issue of Love magazine, a comment from Pierre Berge / Yves Saint Laurent Foundation when I shared Saint Laurent-inspired outfits on Look-a-Porter, and an email from British Fashion Council approving me as a registered blogger for LFW.
And talking of my other blog... I've heard that Bloglovin' is currently giving blogs an opportunity to be featured on their front page and blog provided they gain enough followers during August, so it would absolutely made my day if you could support Look-a-Porter by following it on Bloglovin'.
Wishing you a wonderful week! I cannot wait to share all the stories I prepared for the blog this week.
