I admit, casual style of dressing, as appealing as it can possibly be, is not something I feel 100% comfortable about. I adore the idea - I just don't do casual so well. I mean, it took me years (and an injury) to get into flat shoes (which I now find incredibly difficult to swap for heels), so the whole idea is somewhat of an Everest: learning to be equally elegant and casual while feeling happy in my own skin is a challenge. After all, lets be honest, style doesn't have days off...
But I am getting there (or so I keep telling myself) and learning to embrace the idea of perfect imperfections and relaxed chic (and "just chill" as a friend of mine once put it).
Right now I am utterly seduced and inspired by Brunello Cucinelli Spring/Summer 2016 collection - whether it's that timelessly beautiful 1920s elegance, the organic fabrics or the soft sensuality that feels like a sweet caress for my heart, these looks are exactly what I've looking for.
And as wonderful as it would be to wear Cucinelli head-to-toe, it should be relatively easy to recreate most of the outfits with well-tailored wardrobe basics that most of us already have... It's all the matter of getting the vibe right. What do you think?
