What would you wear to New York Fashion Week if you get an invite? Every season I ask myself this question and then style an outfit for my imaginary girl. Not only it has become a tradition, but also another way to see how my perception of style evolves as time passes by.
Yes, it changes, just like everything... For example, this season there will no longer be Donna Karan taking a bow at the end of her show. In fact, there will be no Donna Karan at all, just DKNY. This, alone, feels odd. To compensate, I chose a gorgeous and elegant Karan dress to celebrate her and the woman she designed for.
You know, for the first time I used purple... And it made me realise how stunning the colour can look, especially when it's mixed with a few dots of light here and there. It has the right energy, charisma, mystery and sensuality - and I loved this new elegance of both the colour and the feeling very much. Hope you do, too.
Oh, yes, in case you crave more of this... I've been styling all-American designer looks on Look-a-Porter this week, so there's plenty to see over there.
P.S. If you are still reading, I have a favour to ask... The Cosmo Blog Awards have just being launched and I would very much like to try my luck again. If you could follow the link and nominate my blog (www.fashionedbylove.co.uk) as Best for Fashion blog, it would be incredible. Thank you for your support and being here for me!
