Designer look for less: Bally

A girl can only try living without jeans - I certainly did and failed every time. I love them. Just like I love brogues (or certain loafers), and scarves, and shiny buttons of a military pea coat. No wonder this outfit from Bally's Pre-Fall 2015 collection ended up in my inspiration file.

I adore the look, the comfort of jeans and a simple white shirt, the structure of tailored pieces, the made-for-walking shoes, the put-together feel - it's smart enough for a work day (mind you, subject to what you do, of course) and definitely perfect as as a weekend attire.

The original idea is styled with a turtleneck, but I thought it's best to have two options - a ribbed merino top in lipstick red for cooler days and a silk scarf when you want to show off a little skin or don't feel like layering.

And, being painfully practical, I replaced one of the clutches with a cross-body bag - to carry most precious essentials as nature intended.

  1. I stuck without denim for eight months once before finally giving in. Honestly I just can't live without it and I don't want to try to anymore. What I do want to try is this look. I had a pair of brogues that I have somehow lost (I always wondered how anyone could lose shoes, but now I seem to have done it myself!) so I shall have to replace them and then I can recreate this wonderful look :)
