a rainbow as a natural progression of things. It gave me a perfect excuse to finally think of spring and my favourite collections from London fashion week that I've been keeping to myself until the time was right and the feeling - mutual.
Although I did shared some of the looks on my Instagram back in September, I chose to hold back and let my initial impressions marinate, just to make sure that the initial burst of love was there and true.
And this is my spring rainbow, in every imaginable shade...
Sensuality blended with light at Jonathan Saunders show. Gorgeous bias-cut dresses, mosaic of colours and prints, beautiful girls (including my darling Damaris), sun kissed breezy summer glamour. It was a kaleidoscope of summer happiness.
Burberry Prorsum was about the little things... The little trench that could make a woman look like the most precious doll. The little dresses that looked as if they were woven from sun rays and rose petals by a buzzing bunch of fairies. I loved those beautiful frocks made to be worn to dance, and flirt, and live happily every after.
The photos of Antonio Berardi collections don't do it any justice - you need to see these dresses as they move, flow, sparkle in the light. And see the magic happen... The blue dress took my breath away and even now, two months later, I still find myself absolutely captivated by it.
Yellow and more yellow. I could never have enough of the rich, glorious yellow. Or imagine summer without floaty white dresses, life - without zest, oranges - without bursting juice that tickles my mouth... or British fashion - without Paul Smith who sent out a wonderful, modern, streamlined, very wearable collection with a few interesting touches like the bags with colourful accordion details or sandals that are begging to be mine.
Temperley always gives me an insatiable desire to wear prints, pack my suit case with more printed weightless dresses, straw hats and sandals and jet off somewhere tropical. While I tend to craw into my adrogenous style shell in winter, the first signs of spring seem to awake the romantic vibe and make me feel pretty-oh-so-pretty dressed in whimsical lace and colours of the sky and the sea... The happiest the fashion could be.
