  2. Oh my - what wonderful work Mila did with whites! And about the fifth photo down, the blue shift dress and jacket from the late 60s... I can't believe how much the model looks like a doll! It's almost as though she were made for the clothes, not the other way around.

    1. That's Bernadetta Barzini in US Vogue. I think this is when Vreeland commented how the clothes are made by sorcerers... Amazing, isn't it? I have a few more favourite dresses of mine, all from the 1970s, but will share them on Instagram later (a bit difficult to scan to get good quality). I know you will adore them, too.
      A bit more on this "moulded" effect tomorrow :)
