Did you miss me? I hope so. I definitely missed you and being here. Frankly, it felt pretty odd coming back and typing the title of my very first post marking the beginning of 2016 and restarting the brain. I turned to Prada in an attempt to explain the sensation through visuals - fingers crossed it will resonate... And even if it doesn't, having Sasha and Natalia as faces of the latest campaign is worth celebrating as much as the new year.
How was your Christmas?
Mine was wonderful. Just my men, home, no agenda, hidden or otherwise, and, believe it or not (because it still feel surreal), a pair of Alaia shoes under the tree. Plus good food, movies and a bunch of books that I wanted to read for ages.
I've been doing a lot of thinking and planning, too, but since I am not the one for resolutions, it was simply about writing lists... A list of changes I want to make to my life (less PC time, more me/family time, a ritual or two, new recipes to try and places to visit), a list of books I would like to add to my library (amazon basket is bursting already...), a list of beauty products I'd like to try and talk about and, of course, a bunch of topics I'd like to share on Fashioned by Love.
As far as the topics and categories go, I am very excited to say that my much treasured Fashion Weeks (also known as biographies of fashion designers) will be coming back starting this month! I took a break in 2015 because I knew that due to many reasons any attempts to write anything worthy would be a disaster and disappointment. So I chose to wait, do my research, find materials, images and set aside enough time to digest and prepare it all.
The interviews, book and exhibition reviews, quotes, discussions, wardrobe essentials, trends and style inspirations will remain, and "If you only buy one thing..." and "Now and Then" will become a monthly feature - not a random set of posts.
I also wanted to ask your opinion about my nutrition and beauty articles - do you enjoy them? Would you like me to continue? Are there any nutrition and health related topics you would like me to focus on?
And is there anything else you would like to see on Fashioned by Love? Please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and questions - if you prefer not to have them published just leave a little note or simply send me an email.
Lets write another chapter, embrace new year, new adventures and challenges and enjoy every single day of this wonderful journey!
