Comes spring I find myself strangely, but understandably, drawn to Mango collections, over and over again... They make such wonderful and special little additions for the season without breaking the bank. Frankly, I don't even buy them on a buy-today-throw-away-tomorrow basis - I've never been that way with my clothes. Besides, I live in England. It rains A LOT over here. The summer comes and goes as it's pleased. And jeans and trench are my forever-best-friends.

So, basically after a couple of years of planning wardrobes that never saw the light of day (or sunshine for that matter) I figured out that a) there's no point to buy expensive things because my chances of truly enjoying them for months and months are minute and b) high street gives me everything I want and need to look good without extra pressure of mandatory dry-cleaning, mind-blowing credit card statements and a natural fear of ruining something simply because I felt like running wild with my dog (yes, right now it's all memories, but...), sitting on a grass or enjoying the countryside. That kind of emotional and fashion freedom is priceless (and ironically, comes with a very sensible price tag). As a bonus, these pieces do blend rather well with my few but much-loved "special things" acquired over the years...

I know I've already waxed lyrical about Mango's earlier collection, but couldn't help doing it again. And that white lace dress is really quite something (and yes, a little Valentino) - I had to share it with you.

  2. I have never shopped at Mango much because the Parisian shops tend to be quite messy and disorganised, which makes for less than ideal shopping conditions. But the pieces I have from Mango are special pieces I will love forever, and I keep hoping that one day they will open stores in Canada.

  4. i definitely agree with your approach here--why buy if you can't wear them as often as desired? i'm glad you found a solution with the beautiful mango.
